Ideal Exam Preparation Strategy for SBI PO and SSC CGL Exams simultaneously

1. Study and Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus of SBI PO and SSC CGL exam

In SBI PO, the questions are primarily asked from topics like Data Interpretation, Averages, Time Speed & Distance, Menstruation, Interest, Percentage, Algebra, Time & Work, Approximation, etc. The main highlight of the Quant section of SBI PO Mains will be on Data Analysis & Data Interpretation, so prepare them well.
On the other hand, SSC CGL has a variety of topics other than asked in SBI PO exam. The topics of SSC CGL exam also include topics like Geometry and Trigonometry besides the topics of SBI PO 2019.
 (B) English Language
In SBI PO exam, the questions are commonly asked from topics like Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Cloze Test, Fill in the Blanks, Error Spotting, Phrase Replacement & Sentence Correction, Word Association Pair etc. The questions based on these topics are supposed to test your comprehension and practice skills.
As far as SSC CGL exam is concerned, the main importance is given to Grammar & Vocabulary. Besides the SBI PO, topics of SSC CGL Tier I exam includes topics like Phrase or Idiom Meaning, Spellings and One Word Substitution. The SSC CGL Tier II exam includes several questions on Direct & Indirect Speech as well as Active & Passive Voice. To triumph all these topics, then candidates are advised to develop the habit of reading newspapers daily to enhance his word power, grammar skills and reading comprehension skills. You should make a list of difficult and typical words and try to understand their meaning and learn synonyms and antonyms of these words. To score handsomely in English Language section, the candidates are required to practice Reading Comprehensions, Para Jumbles and Cloze Tests regularly. After attempting the preliminary exams of SBI PO and SSC CGL, the candidates should start studying questions which were asked in the mains of advance English Grammar.
 (C) Reasoning Aptitude (Logical Reasoning)
In both exams, the difficulty level of asked questions is very different. The level of questions is reasonably easier in SSC CGL exam. On contrary, the Reasoning Aptitude is the most challenging part of SBI PO exam. In SBI PO exam, the questions are normally based on Seating Arrangements, Syllogisms, Puzzles, Input-Output, Coding & Decoding, Ordering & Ranking, Inequalities, Directions & Distances, Blood Relations, and Verbal Reasoning etc. On the flip side, SSC CGL exam covers most of these topics but at a lower level.
