How to Gain Speed & Accuracy to Solve Logical Reasoning Section of IBPS PO Exam 2017
Reasoning can be
defined as the working of mental status directly proportional to one’s logic of
the given problem or situation to solve.
Although solving
logical reasoning question has been a tedious job yet we can overcome that by
using some tricks.
Reasoning Test is
taken to examine mental ability of aspirants. This section takes more time to
solve and needs a lot of practice. There are no exact formulas to solve them
one needs to have patience synchronized with logical thinking.
There are some useful tricks which one must
follow to gain speed and accuracy in solving logical reasoning section of IBPS PO Exam
are:
1. Choose your Order
of solving the questions:
Generally there are about 10 -12 questions which are hard to crack in any exam so try to solve the easy questions first in order to gain speed and build confidence. This strategy will only work if you are time conscious or else it will not work well.

2. Manage Timing
The exam pattern is generally followed by giving easy questions first which are around 10-12 in number. Solve them in less than a minute which will enable you to get time to solve harder questions. This strategy will only work smooth in the examination hall if you have practiced a lot and have scored more than 70 percent in mock tests while practicing.
3. Read every word of the question:
Read the question
carefully; concentrate on each and every word so that you can think of the
logical method of solving the same. It is generally noticed that students tend
to be careless in reading the entire statement of the question and reach to a
wrong conclusion. It is very essential to be a careful reader so that you reach
to the correct conclusion.
4. Ignore unnecessary words.
Concentrate only on the important words which will help you to reach to the conclusion. It is generally required in the Statement and Conclusion type of questions.
5. Study the options smartly.
There are various options in every questions, make a guess work and mark them with a special sign and in case you are not sure of any option mark them with a different option. Now it will be easy for you to choose as you have shortened your choice scenario. It will help you to measure your performance in respect of accuracy. It will cut short your time and you will be able to solve quickly.
6. Master the important topics:
One must focus on the
important topics such as
a. Syllogism,
Analogy
b. Odd
man out
c, Number
Series
d. Venn
diagram
e. Non-verbal
reasoning
These are the topics which are mostly
asked in the question paper and carry maximum score too. If you master them
before the exam you will be able to solve them quickly and accurately.
