SBI PO: An Officer appointed in SBI Banks is given the post of Junior Management Grade-1 Officer for 2 years of training/probation period.

2. Salary

Salary of PO have been revised, basic pay is bifurcated as

23700 – (980 x 7) – 30560 – (1145 x 2) – 32850 – (1310 x 7) – 42020
This revision was introduced in the year 2016. It means that new employees will be eligible for Rs. 23700/- as basic pay. There is an annual increment of Rs. 980/- which will be applicable for 7 years from the date of appointment.
These are the common salary packages for SBI and IBPS PO. There is only one difference is that SBI POs are paid four extra increments at the time of joining.

3.   Exam Pattern of IBPS and SBI  

IBPS PO Mains Exam has made few changes such as
- Descriptive paper as it was already there in SBI PO 2017 Exam. It was introduced in Descriptive paper of mains exam. This test is conducted to examine the writing skills of candidates where an essay and a letter is given to write.
- There is no separate paper held for Computer applications. Logical reasoning section was merged with Computer Aptitude.

4.  Leased Rental Accommodation


Leased Rental accommodation is offered in both IBPS and in SBI.
In IBPS BANKS official bank accommodation is given as leased accommodation.
In SBI BANKS leased accommodation has a limit of Rsl 8000/- for C category Centres and for Mumbai Centre it is Rs. 29,500/-. It various from the location to which he or she is appointed for.

In SBI officers are given travelling allowance to visit various placed within India. They can enjoy stay in the respective guest houses available at a given place of their visit.
In IBPS Banks officers can have a vehicle from Bank’s side rather than presenting petrol bills. They also have a provision to stay at Banks’ Guest Houses while visiting various places across India.

6. Medical Benefits

In SBI banks officers are given 100% Medical Facilities to the employees and 75% to their family members.
In IBPS Banks officers are paid INR 8000 per annum for Medical Aid facility.
