Can I prepare for IBPS PO after taking a Job through SSC CHSL, given that I have completed my Graduation?

Yes definitely, you can prepare for IBPS PO after taking a Job through SSC CHSL as everybody is free to choose and change career occupation if better opportunities are available. Nationality

Aspirants must be:
  1. A citizen of India or
  2. A subject of Nepal or
  3. A subject of Bhutan or
  4. A Tibetan refugee who came to India, before 1st Jan 1962 for permanent settlement.
The candidates who belong to b, c, & d category must have a certificate of eligibility which has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit

The minimum age of a candidate who willing to give IBPS PO Examination is 20 years and maximum age is 30 years. IBPS PO age limit is considered as an important criterion for the selection of eligible candidates.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation schemes given to special categories’ candidates are as follow:
  • SC/ST :        5 years
  • OBC :        3 years
  • PH :        10 years
  • PH + OBC :        13 years
  • PH + SC/ST :        15 years
  • Persons affected at 1984 Riots :        5 years

Educational Qualification

  • A candidate with Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized University of Govt. of India is eligible for IBPS PO post.
  • In case a candidate is awarded with CGPA/OGPA, they must convert it into a percentage and mention it in the application form.
